  • bring up : (話題を)持ち出す、 To introduce into discussion; mention Monica: I know this is going to sound unbelievably selfish, but, were you planning on bringing up the whole baby/lesbian thing? Because I think it might take some of the heat off me.

  • index finger : 人差し指、The finger next to the thumb.

    Monica: No, no, no. They say it's the same as the distance from the tip of a guy's thumb to the tip of his index finger.
    (The guys stretch out their fingers.)
    Joey: That's ridiculous!
    Ross: Can I use.. either thumb?

    Ross: ...So I think Alan will become the yardstick against which all future boyfriends will be measured.

1-4. The One With George Stephanopoulos

  • omnipotent : 全能の、Having unlimited or universal power, authority, or force; all-powerful.

    Phoebe: Okay, okay. If I were omnipotent for a day, I would want, um, world peace, no more hunger, good things for the rain-forest...And bigger boobs! Ross: Yeah, see.. you took mine. Chandler, what about you? Chandler: Uh, if I were omnipotent for a day, I'd.. make myself omnipotent forever.
